Chef – Full Time

Royal Crown Indian is a very famous and award winning Indian Restaurant. We are now hiring Chef for our Floreat based restaurant. Royal Crown Indian is the market leading Indian Restaurant in WA. Our authentic Indian recopies based menu are cooked daily in the kitchen with market fresh ingredients and we are in search for talented and committed chefs to help us deliver the best to our loyal customers

We are looking for people with experience as a Chef in Indian cuisine. It is a requirement to have Australian cookery/hospitality trade qualifications.

Role
You main role is to work as a fulltime chef in restaurant. You will be preparing and cooking main meals, entrée, pastries and bread for our customers.

Key attributes for successful Candidates:

  • Australian trade qualifications as Chef. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • High level of discipline and ability to follow detailed instructions,
  • Professional and enthusiastic attitude,
  • Excellent personal hygiene and presentation,
  • Good knowledge of Indian Cuisine and spices is required,

Job Description as per the following:

  • Preparing and cooking main meals as per recipes provided
  • Working on new recipes to add dishes on restaurant menu
  • Training apprentices and kitchen staff when required
  • Working with management for big events and follow managements instructions
  • Inspecting food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
  • Assisting café and restaurant management in catering
  • Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
  • Assisting other cooks when required
  • Maintaining inventory and order restaurant supplies.

Mandatory

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (AQF) or above
  • Good skills in reading and writing English language
  • Experienced in Indian Restaurant is desirable

Only Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents will be considered

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview and may be required to go through a practical test

Cook – Full Time

  • Australian trade qualifications as Chef / Cooks Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • High level of discipline and ability to follow detailed instructions,

  • Good knowledge of Indian Cuisine is required

Job Description as per the following:

  • Preparing ingredients on the daily preparation checklist according to menu items
  • Preparing, slicing, storing and cooking vegetables for entrees, curries and rice dishes
  • Cleaning, slicing and shredding vegetables
  • Making stocks, and sauces to different consistencies and textures.
    Cooking curries, entrée items, deserts, and breads using a variety of methods
  • To ensure that the cool room is kept clean and up to food safety standard
  • Creating marinates to marinate meats/poultry and sauces.
  • Cooking naan bread and Tandoori Chicken in the tandoori oven both coal and gas

Experienced in Indian Restaurant is desirable

Restaurant Manager – Full Time

Our authentic Indian recopies based menu are cooked daily in the kitchen with market fresh ingredients and we are in search for talented and committed Manager to help us deliver the best to our loyal customers

Role
We are looking for a gifted and process driven Restaurant Manager. This is an exciting challenge for an accomplished, driven and confident Manager.

Key attributes for successful Candidates:

  • Australian trade qualifications as Restaurant Manager or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • High level of discipline and ability to follow detailed instructions,
  • Professional and enthusiastic attitude,
  • Excellent personal hygiene and presentation,
  • Good knowledge of Indian Cuisine and spices is required,

Job Description as per the following:

  • Organize the supplies of the Restaurant including Groceries, Dairy and Vegetables.
  • Plan and organise special functions and parties at restaurant. Take catering orders and advice customer about various selections available
  • Hire new staff if required and make them aware of their job, Maintain the rosters of the staff
  • Assist in setting up the menu items, rotate menu as per the introductions of the new dishes
  • Maintain the price on the menu which include specials, change in prices, new prices etc
  • Supervise all staff including Kitchen staff and Floor staff
  • Maintain the accounts register for the Restaurant
  • Maintain a professional level of customer service
  • Ensure special requests made by customers such as religious and dietary needs
  • Open and close restaurant as per provided timings
  • Make sure the appearance of the premise is clean and presentable
  • Make sure the premise is complied with OH&S regulations.
  • Respond to any complaints made by the customer and provide a professional solution

Mandatory

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (AQF) or Diploma in Hospitality or above

  • Experienced in Indian Restaurant is desirable
